Working with the community is a large part of every librarian's job and this great new book entitled Librarians as Community Partners: An Outreach Handbook is an amazing guide for either starting a community outreach program or making a system already in place, better. The author Carol Smallwood sets out to show librarians and library professionals what has worked in the past and provide new innovative ideas for the future of libraries everywhere. Published in January of this year this book promises to be an asset to any librarian hoping to have a successful relationship with the community in which they work.
