Started in 2009, the Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA) Adult Programming Forum is a way for staff across County libraries to share information on programming and services for adults of all ages. Meetings are scheduled quarterly. Started in 2003, the Older Adult Forum was convened in order for library staff to share program ideas and resources for the older adult population. 'Libraries offer seniors more than books'
Newsday.com featured this article on November 29th highlighting many library services for older adults including Allan Kleiman's 'Senior Spaces' initiative at Old Bridge Public Library in New Jersey. Commonwealth Libraries will be presenting four 'Senior Spaces' workshops with Allan Kleiman in the new year. More information to come!
